Here’s your chance to secure a role in one of Asia Pacific’s largest hotel groups, where you will play a role in assisting us to achieve our growth target of 250 hotels across each corner of the globe.

Currently we have hotels operating across Australia, Middle East, UK, Singapore and India, with Hotels soon to open in Thailand, Egypt, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

An exciting & rare opportunity has arisen in our Sydney office for a passionate and enthusiastic Human Resources professional who is driven to learn and develop whilst assisting in delivering the people agenda across the company.

The Human Resources Co-ordinator will report to the Global Director of Human Resources, and will focus on:

  • Staying up to date with the latest HR, recruitment and employment trends
  • Managing online training through e-Hotelier for all hotels internationally
  • Assisting the Global Director in the Vision, Mission and Values program
  • Maintaining all employee records on the HR information system
  • Preparation of the monthly board presentation
  • Administration and coordination of the Performance Appraisal process
  • Managing and reporting on Head Office and Hotel GM's annual leave
  • Preparing employment contracts for Head Office personnel and Australian Hotel GMs
  • Ensuring Staywell Human Resources' presence on social media is current and regular
  • Compliance reporting
  • Providing support and advice to managers and team members on employee relations and recruitment & selection

Skills and experiences that will help you excel in this role:

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a Hotel/Hospitality environment will be well regarded
  • Formal HR qualifications
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of employment advertising such as LinkedIn and Seek 
  • A good level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, HRIS
  • The ability to handle multiple projects and requests for assistance in an organised manner 
  • Confidence to work independently and also enjoys collaborating with others
  • Genuine desire to learn and grow within the team, taking a “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality of information
  • A strong foundation in Human Resources including exposure to the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and other legislation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
