Brilliant Bars in Sydney

With its magnificent Opera House, Sydney Tower and iconic Harbour Bridge, Sydney must be one of the most instantly recognisable cities in the world. Sydney is a city for those who love great cuisine and the great outdoors, cold beer and warm evenings. Those seeking sophistication might find a glass of Sauvignon Blanc at the Opera Bar, while the more party-inclined may find themselves in the hub of Kings Cross night life. You'll take many things away from your stay at Sydney, but what remains the most striking thing about the city, apart from its considerable beauty, is the constant dedication of its inhabitants to having a good time.

1. City Centre

The Establishment with its huge marble bar, runs the length of the venue with high ceilings and side trestle table bar/seating. Sophisticated crowd, gather after work hours. Attached is Est Bar and at the back is the Tank Stream bar offering a smaller but still very sophisticated experience.

2. Circular Quay and The Rocks

If the heat of the night is sometimes too much for you to bare…then Minus5 is the perfect destination. Located in Circular Quay, Minus5 Lounge is a 30 minute experience which starts by donning on the winter woollies, including jacket and boots, before being escorted by your Ice Guide into the Ice Lounge. Enjoy a vodka cocktail made in an ice glass along with dozens of sculptures.

With a view to die for, the Opera Bar is in the perfect position for those who wish to soak up the beauty of Sydney. Here, you can gaze across the water to the Harbour Bridge you are on the terrace of the Opera House. Frequented by locals and tourists having a pre-theatre drink on the Harbour.

3. Darling Harbour

bungalow

Across the water at King Street Wharf, Bungalow 8 is a popular bar-restaurant. Bungalow 8 combines uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour with a chic city atmosphere and the opportunity to tuck into the freshest seafood classics and kilo mussel pots. Patrons can relax by the waterfront for drinks day or night, sipping a selection of excellent local wines and the pick of international beers.

4. Bondi Beach

bonid icebergs balcony

If the beach is more your scene, Ravisis opposite Bondi Beach has two floors. The ground level offers a stylish combination of couches and bar stools with open bi-fold windows whilst the lower underground floor provides secluded lounge style seating in private surroundings. The crowd tends to be your glam (trying to look casual) couples or small groups.

The Icebergs bar holds a position right on the water of Bondi Beach. Located on the top floor at the Icebergs venue, this intimate bar with very cool seating for upper class crowd overlooks the length of Bondi Beach and out to the Ocean. Downstairs is the more casual bar with outdoor balcony seating. The crowd is a mix of local surfers, trend setters and visitors.

5. Kings Cross

If you like to party the whole night then you will probably find yourself at Kings Cross. Kings Cross boasts many bars and clubs that are open till the early hours of the mornings. Favela Bar is a very cool place to be seen with one of the most beautiful interiors. With three levels of bars, a restaurant and a rocking nightclub, it is not to be missed. Hugo’s Lounge is the place to find Sydney’s most beautiful people. Hugo’s dark, candle lit bar sets the mood of glamour. Make sure you are dolled up to be seen here!

"Enjoyable stay"

HakkaChrissa - via Tripadvisor

We stayed in an Executive room for a few nights while visiting Sydney. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Loved the kingsize bed too! The location is ideal for getting around the city and many tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping areas are within an easy walk.
