Travel Tips in Brisbane

Beat Brisbane's Traffic Snarls

If you plan to visit Brisbane you are sure to have heard about the ever increasing traffic congestions the city is facing. Travel to the CBD from the airport could take more than 45 minutes in a taxi in peak hour – costing you over $45! There is nothing worse then sitting in traffic, let alone after you have just got off a plane and ready to start your holiday. Or missing your plane home because you were stuck in traffic on the way to the airport. That is why Airtrain is the most reliable form of transport on your next trip to Brisbane. Airtrain offers a range of services to accommodate for all needs. Read on to find out what service most suits you.

Brisbane CBD Transfer

Station

This service is the fastest and cheapest way to transfer between the Brisbane airport and the CBD. With services departing every 30 minutes (every 15 minutes in peak hour) – you are bound to get to where you are heading on time. This service only takes 20 minutes to reach downtown Brisbane – compared to a taxi you will save over 30 minutes and $30! The Airtrain stops at all downtown stations including Bowen Hills, Brunswick Street, Central Station, Roma Street, South Brisbane & Southbank – placing you only footsteps to Park Regis North Quay’s door.

Gold Coast Transfers

Airtrain inside

Take a day trip to the Gold Coast, pack your towel, swimmers and sunscreen and catch the Airtrain from Brisbane airport. With no traffic congestion – relax and take in the scenery on your journey. Departing every 2 hours it is the most reliable and frequent option to reach the Gold Coast from Brisbane.

Other Airtrain Services

The Airtrain offers a large range of services. You can purchase a fun pass which provides you with direct access to Dreamworld, Sea World, Movie World or Wet N Wild. You can also arrange transfers to Harbour Town Shopping Centre, Surfers Paradise or Pacific Fair. The Airtrain also allows you to easily get from the Brisbane airport to Toowoomba using their Toowoomba Pass.

Terminal Transfer

As Brisbane airports Domestic and International Terminals are almost 3km apart – the Airtrain provides you with transfers free of charge! This is the easiest, most convenient and reliable means of transferring between terminals.

“Fabulous Views”

Laura S - via Tripadvisor

The price was reasonable for a corner suite with views of the river and South Bank. There was a great kitchen space and large tv plus dvd player. We could walk to South Bank and everywhere we needed to go. Left the car in the parking garage the whole time. I was pleasantly surprised.
